Rhegor is an herbman and dweomermaster who trains Prince Galrion in developing his dweomer talents. He encourages Galrion to let Brangwen decide if she wants to break their betrothal or to be his wife and live in poverty with him. After Galrion is exiled and becomes Nevyn he is able to fully take up his responsibilities as Rhegor's apprentice. After Brangwen dies, Rhegor tells Nevyn that he failed her, and informs him that Brangwen had such latent talent for the dweomer that she could have been Nevyn's match in power. Rhegor teaches Nevyn about reincarnation, describing to him how Brangwen's soul will be incarnated once again, and although she'll have Brangwen's potential for dweomer power, she won't have Brangwen's memories.
Family and relationships[]
Rhegor takes Prince Galrion as his apprentice and shows much concern for his future. He is on speaking terms with Gwerbret Madoc.
Personality and appearance[]
Rhegor is blunt. He's "short, barrel-chested [and his] gray hair hung cropped and untidy; his gray mustache always needed a trim."
